ABSTRACT
A cometary tail is a linear or broad structure which originates from the comet head and can reach lengths from thousands to half a billion of km in the most spectacular cases. Depending on the composition, cometary tails are subdivided into three great families, the ion, dust and neutral tails, which are built up by completely different physical processes
