ABSTRACT
A simple, cheap and portable form of Newtonian reflecting telescope mounted on an altazimuth mounting. Attached to a simple fork mounting that rotates in altitude (elevation) and azimuth (parallel to the horizon), with Teflon strips as the bearing surfaces, a Dobsonian telescope, provided it is well balanced, can be moved quickly and smoothly by hand to point towards any part of the sky
