ABSTRACT
Though not very bright, this is a favorite test object for powerful binoculars and small telescopes. Situated 1.6° north-east of Vega, it is known as `the Double Double'. The star can just be seen to be double with the unaided eye, under good conditions by observers with acute eyesight. With binoculars it is easily separated, the component stars being 3.5' apart at a position angle of 173°
