ABSTRACT
Stars that never set as seen from a particular location. The requirement for this to happen is that the star's polar distance is less than the observer's latitude—thus from a location in latitude 52° North, stars of NPD less than 52° (i.e. with declinations of between 0° and +38°) are circumpolar and will be seen to circle around the north celestial pole
