ABSTRACT
One of the most powerful infrared sources known, located in the Kleinmann–Low Nebula behind the Orion Nebula, and discovered by Eric Becklin and Gerry Neugebauer in 1967. Its position is RA 05 h 35.2 m, dec. −05° 22'. It is thought to be a very young and massive B star embedded in a dense expanding dust envelope which absorbs the star's visible light and re-emits it in the infrared.
