ABSTRACT
A terrestrial impact feature about 170 km in diameter centered near the coastal town of Puerto Chicxulub on the northern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. The structure is well preserved but not apparent on the surface, being buried beneath about a kilometer of sediments. Its presence was suspected when arc-like formations showed up in plots of surface-gravity variations
