ABSTRACT
Amateur astronomy has taken great advantage of the introduction of modern digital imaging techniques, and their application to comet science makes no exception; it has also been found that, thanks to the characteristics of charge-coupled devices (CCDs) (see CCDS, FILTERS AND CCD PHOTOMETRY FOR AMATEURS), interesting images of comets are routinely obtained even under light polluted suburban skies.
