ABSTRACT

Over the last few decades, human activities have had an incredible influence on the global climate. The normal temperature of soil has increased and is constantly on the rise. Extraordinary climate events are becoming more common and unforgiving. Climate change is influencing every animal living on the earth. The climate crisis, its causes, the contribution of livestock and poultry to greenhouse gas emissions, and the impact of the climate crisis on the livestock and poultry industry are all discussed in this chapter. The thermoregulatory system and heat loss in the chicken are briefly discussed in this chapter, followed by mitigation strategies for combating the impacts of the climate crisis on poultry.
