ABSTRACT

The study presents the results of research into the emergency braking processes occurring in M1-category motor vehicles, which use braking systems of different design and functional features. The authors hereof suggest an advanced approach to the assessment of motor vehicle braking efficiency in road accident reporting. The verification of the effectiveness of the innovations suggested hereby has demonstrated the reason why such innovations are to be used in practical work and has proven the need to extend such approach to other categories of motor vehicles and other types and conditions of road surface. Such innovations would increase the precision and quality of automotive equipment examinations/tests in road accident reporting.
