ABSTRACT

In order to detect how the replacement solutions of the recycle coarse aggregate affect the mechanical performance of the concrete, all and part replacement solutions are made. The compressive strength and splitting tensile strength are determined. The results show that there is no obvious difference to the compressive strength between the two methods of equal ratio, replacing among 3 particle grade and single particle grade as long as the replacement amounts are same. Replacing all of the (20–31.5) mm and part of the (10–20) mm nature coarse aggregates can rarely influence the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of the concrete. The replacing amount of (10–20) mm nature aggregates should not be greater than 50%, or else it may have an effect on the compressive strength.
