ABSTRACT

The fifth step of the GRIDALL process is to create an action plan to implement the decision. A company can make all the right strategic choices but still end up failing if they cannot execute on those decisions. This chapter describes key principles of managing actions. It then outlines a four-step process that project managers can use to manage action items. Finally, it explores situations where decisions were made that are impractical to implement and gives guidance for how the project manager can resolve these situations.
