ABSTRACT

The sixth and final step of the GRIDALL framework is to capture lessons learned after the actions have been completed and the result, whether success or failure, has been achieved. There are two common types of lessons learned: post-mortem and continuous improvement. This chapter will describe the best uses of these two approaches, and a five-step process for capturing lessons learned. It then explores ways to disseminate lessons learned so that other project teams can adopt successful approaches and avoid unsuccessful ones.
