ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we have explained the functioning of the healthcare system and how the present system is working. We emphasized what the downsides of today’s system are and how IoT will come into the picture for a better healthcare facility for everyone all over the world. The IoT technology that will benefit the future of healthcare has also been mentioned. Mobile internet of things, ambient-assisted living, and other details have also been emphasized in this article. Some of the challenges like bandwidth, accuracy, and protocol-regulation criteria have also been discussed. In this chapter, we have shared the workings of the important cloud computing and edge gateways. Several applications of the IoT have also been discussed.
