ABSTRACT
The home appliances used in olden days do not require electrical power, which is operated by man power and human efforts. The controllable devices/appliances are able to schedule their operating hours, whereas the non-controllable devices’ scheduling is possible. The entertainment appliances like TV, computer, and sound systems are considered as non-controllable devices. The heating, ventilating, air-conditioning devices are operated based on the given reference, and they are named as regulated loads. Batteries and other storage devices fall under the category of energy storage devices. Present/future home is filled with many smart appliances, such as dish washer, cloth washer, etc. The home might be equipped with solar panel and supports their energy needs and excess power may be exported at certain periods. The main objective could be met based on different situations.
