ABSTRACT
Several strategies including conventional and organic farming approaches have been implemented worldwide to ensure healthy and sufficient food for one and all. Sustainable and efficient use of irrigation practices stands up to the utmost priority to meet the growing demand of agriculture produce. The present chapter deals with different irrigation methods both used on farms including organic farming. surface, sub-surface, surface-micro, subsurface-micro and ultra-irrigation practices which have been significantly implemented. Pros and cons associated with usage these irrigation practices have been briefly discussed in order to enhance their implementation and ultimately to benefit the society.
