ABSTRACT
A lot of explanations, definitions, journals, studies, articles exist on leadership theories. In this article we explain the leadership theories on Great man theory, Trait theory, Contingency theory, Situational theory, Behavioural theory. Many studies have been done to investigate the behavioural approach of leadership. A majority of the researchers think that leadership is a flexible process. In this article we try to emphasize the behaviour of a leader, the personality, characteristics of leader, skill approach needed for the leader. From this study we infer and draw a clear picture on the implications of the behavioural approach of leadership.
