ABSTRACT

By emphasizing intelligent devices, the industrial sector has been transformed from Industry 1.0, which was based on mechanical automation to, Industry 4.0, which is based on smart devices. With the advancement of industrial technology, the health care sector has also evolved from Healthcare1.0 to Healthcare4.0 where healthcare services have been shifted from simple medication to more complex intelligent healthcare delivery. To meet the requirement of analyzing a huge volume of patient healthcare data generated from sensors, smart healthcare technologies are integrated by the Internet of Things (IoT). The data generated from IoT devices are huge in quantity and required to be managed instantaneously. To gratify the growing demand for IoT, fog computing came into the existence. It is a framework that brings the computation facilities to the edge of the network. There are many issues and challenges of integrating Healthcare 4.0 with fog computing that should be overcome. Some research has been already done to overcome these issues. In this chapter, we will discuss various issues and challenges like privacy and security issues, social issues, regulatory issues, and computational complexity issues in detail along with a discussion of work done to overcome these issues.
