ABSTRACT

Nano-technology refers to technology on a nano- meter scale, specifically less than 100 nano-meters. The novel nano-particles are tiny spheres or tubes made from carbon atoms. New advancements in nano-science and nano-technology will allow more organize and have the potential of increased benefits. Nano-technology/nano-science is an enabling branch of technology that has the potential to revolutionize the food manufacturing. The exhilarating possibility of combining biology and nano-scale technology into sensors holds the potential of increased sensitivity and therefore a significantly diminished response-time to understand potential problems. The functions of zein nano-materials were several, carrier of food delivery, drinks and micro-nutrient systems a shell or a core of encapsulated systems, or a food ingredient. Kasaai reported that the bio-active substances with potential applications intended for food and nutrition industries were stabilized by zein/zein-based nano-materials. Nano-technology involves creating and manipulating organic and inorganic materials at the nano-scale.
