ABSTRACT

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the technology to process human intelligence by computer systems. AI has been explored in many areas, namely, object tracking, speech recognition, the travel industry, and the healthcare industry. In the healthcare industry, AI can provide patient diagnosis and monitoring. It can recommend personalized medicine, drug development, and health control. In addition, it can improve and simplify the process of clinical documentation, patient health record management, and claim management. AI algorithms can analyze health record data to predict and diagnose the ailment better than medical professionals. It has proved helpful in predicting serious diseases, namely, breast cancer, cervical cancer, and tumors. These algorithms analyze a large amount of data for faster prediction and diagnosis. The medical data and patient details can be localized on multiple computers using distributed computing, which, in turn, can be used for processing and accessing necessary patient data anywhere for better treatment. AI can induce the robots assisting surgical procedures to reduce the error rate and enhance the treatment success rate in the healthcare industry. It can also provide improved radiology tools and pathology image analytics for a more precise and accurate diagnosis of diseases. AI with robotics and distributed computing can bring potential change in the healthcare industry.
