ABSTRACT
Social Entrepreneurship is an important cog in the wheel when we discuss Industry 4.0. The issues of trust and inequalities are the important social issues related to the discussion on social entrepreneurship and Industry 4.0. Through the application of entrepreneurship principles to social issues, we can tackle these issues. Social capital is regarded as a proxy for the amount of trust in any society. Well-being of people and the country depends upon the trust prevailing in the society, and it has a role to support social and economic development. The trust between individuals and trust in institutions acts as the determinants of economic growth, and cohesive well-being. Trust is one of the major dimensions of social capital, and research shows that this dimension cannot be neglected for social and economic development. This chapter focuses on the role of “social capital” for progress of society and well-being.
