ABSTRACT

In this chapter the application of the type-variety principle with mathematical models and algorithms that implement the type-variety mechanism in solving problems of ensuring the reliability, safety and resilience of critical systems and infrastructures at the stages of their life cycle - during design and operation is considered. The application of the type-variety principle to the problem of analysing the human factor and personnel errors in ensuring the functioning and safety of critical systems is discussed. An approach is proposed to minimize the errors of personnel working at critical facilities in the face of new challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and military aggression using diverse physical practices and exercises that affect all components of human health. This approach allows, based on the analysis of video images of a person, to influence both his physical and psychological condition as well as socio-communicative activity, thereby ensuring the reliability, safety, and resilience of system functioning.
