ABSTRACT

Today’s globe faces numerous concerns relating to public health problems associated with chronic sickness caused by dangerous infections like COVID-19. The increasing prevalence of health complications and the rising expense of healthcare motivate people, but notably the infirm and elderly, to utilize remote health administration using computer-assisted technology. The Internet of Things (IoT), is a collection of interconnected gadgets that communicate with each other, and has played a critical role in recent years in facilitating automation in a variety of disciplines, including distant and intelligent healthcare services. The IoT is a collection of significant techniques from wireless sensor networks (WSN) to wireless body area networks (WBAN) that enable information to be transferred into the online cloud platform and extraction of meaningful information for timely and appropriate decision making. With an increased wish to create healthcare quite individualized, responsive, and affordable, the IoT can be evaluated and implemented as a crucial component in patient care systems. The critical aspects when integrating IoT and healthcare are reliability, robustness, security, modeling, verification and validation. In order to overcome these challenges, CPS are needed. CPS involves various interconnected systems, which can monitor and manipulate real objects and processes. They are closely related to IoT systems. Therefore, in this context, IoT deployment in healthcare can also be applied to track individuals, provide validation, and automate data collecting and monitoring. For instance, the IoT can track health continuously and everywhere on the body of the concerned person via WBAN technologies, thereby preventing infection rates due to prolonged hospital stays, managing crises, and providing post-discharge support. As a result, the IoT totally epitomizes healthcare equipment, apps, and individuals. By integrating clinical devices to the internet and conducting multiple health services over the internet, namely, elderly individuals’ supervision, tele-counselling, tele-surveillance, and computer-aided recuperation, smart healthcare operations are assured. Consolidation of health information and IoT is a radical idea in hygienic platforms that allow intelligent healthcare monitoring. Healthcare methods can now be analyzed cautiously, proactively, and predictably using data analytics. Customized and individualized healthcare offers distant patient tracking and monitoring, diagnostics, illness prevention, preventive care and detection particularly for acute and inveterate health disorders like inflammatory lung disease, tumor, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and cardiovascular disease.
