ABSTRACT

Which are identified as the manifestation of active tectonics directly in the field. This region’s landscape was carved by glacial, fluvial, lacustrine, deltaic, coastal, marine and tectonic processes. The Ny-Alesund region has been analysed for multi-dimensional aspects in general and paleoclimate, mainly using marine proxies; however, no attention has been given to understand the geomorphology and landscape and its implication tectonics. It is important to note that this region exhibits all the surface processes responsible for carving the landscape anywhere on the planet Earth. The present study provides information on tectonics using geomorphic features for a better understanding of the area.
