ABSTRACT

—In the current scenario, we are facing one of the direst situations of Covid-19, and the increase in body temperature plays a very vital role and is considered to be the first common symptoms. Through this article, we present the “Contactless attendance and temperature monitoring system”. As nowadays, measuring temperature and keeping recorded data of people is very difficult for any organization because, since the organization has a large number of employees, separately measuring and detecting the change in body temperature of all employees. Employees who are supposed to be in the queue take time and also increase risk. In some cases, the temperature detection of some employees may not be performed, increasing the risk of the virus spreading. It is difficult to identify whose body temperature is not being measured and by whom Covid is spread because, according to data, Covid is a type of virus transmitted by air. In this article, we are going to discuss the solution of this problem by applying an IoT-based attendance system with real-time non-contact temperature monitoring. Here the employee uses the RFID tag/card for attendance and at the same time he will measure the temperature. In addition, if the body temperature is normal, it only allows the employee to enter otherwise the system will trigger the alert and also send a warning message to the administrator in the meantime. As we use RFID technology for employee authentication and attendance, as well as while the employee knocks for attendance, the person’s data, as well as their current body temperature, is detected and recorded, it will effectively reduce the risk of infection. The introduction of RFID technology increases 300 security, uniqueness and speed, resulting in reduced employee queues for attendance and time efficiency. In addition, the recorded data is transmitted over the cloud network with the full details of the registered employee and his body temperature with the responsible authority. The practice and implementation of this device will reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 in the workplace or any crowded place like school, college, office, etc.
