ABSTRACT

Solar energy is abundant in nature and is available free of cost. It emits light and heat energy. The objective of this project is to convert this light and heat energy into electrical energy to enhance the efficiency of the system. Heat energy is focused using mirrors and concentrators in a concentrated solar system, which is then used to generate electricity. Photovoltaic cells, on the other hand, use the sun's light energy to generate electricity directly. Performance of the system is further improved using an IoT-based sun tracking system embedded with the solar concentrator. Efficiency of the system has been improved more than 15% when compared with traditional photovoltaic systems.
