ABSTRACT
The Papaveraceae family is represented in the spontaneous flora of Romania by three genera: Papaver, Glaucium, and Chelidonium. The genus Papaver includes the following 6 species spread throughout the spontaneous flora: Papaver alpinum L. subsp. corona-sancti-stephani (Zapal.) Borza, Papaver rhoeas L., Papaver laevigatum Bieb. (P. maeoticum Klokov), Papaver dubium L., Papaver hybridum L., and Papaver argemone L. The genus Glaucium is represented in the Romanian flora by the species Glaucium flavum Crantz and Glaucium corniculatum (L.) Rudolph. 1 - 3
