ABSTRACT

Internet of things (IoT) is a revolution in the field of technology that serves as a global network for connecting everyday physical objects with the internet and being able to exchange the information and services. IoT attracted researchers, enterprises, and industries in recent years due to its features such as seamless connectivity anytime, anywhere by anyone and anything, heterogeneous and interoperable networks, Global infrastructure, etc. IoT applications are increasing gradually in private and public domains like home automation, e-health, e-agriculture, and many other smart solutions. As the IoT benefits consumers it also gains the attention of attackers. Applying high-level security in an IoT system is difficult because of the heterogeneity of the protocols and devices. The security failure of IoT can be harmful to the users as well as the industry. Several surveys have been done to yield a comprehensive view of IoT security and challenges. The paper aims to provide a far-reaching and advanced view of challenges, security issues, and solutions in IoT.
