ABSTRACT

The technology of Galvanic Jaw Stimulation has been experimented with since 2017. it uses the technology carried forth from previous studies wherein specific signal properties such as frequency were discussed for stimulating distinct taste markers [2]. the same experiment was continued 6 years later in Japan to identify frequency ranges for individual tastes. The methodology, although perfect, requires a considerable magnitude of up-gradation and development vis a vis the hardware involved in the process with its prime focus on the development of an ergonomic signal delivery system and. To tackle the issue of bulkiness and maintain flexibility of the electrodes, skin conforming electrode contacts are proposed to deliver taste modulating signals to the users. The hardware form-factor has been made compact enough to be portable and wearable, enabling users to integrate the apparatus into their daily routines. The device can potentially assist in tackling health issues like obesity, eating disorders etc.
