ABSTRACT

In the case of food demand, production of high quantitative and qualitative crops in association with increasing the global population is the main challenge for plant researchers. In recent years, extensive researches have been conducted to assay the effect of various NPs on plants, including metal, metal oxide, and polymeric NPs. One of the important applications of nanotechnology is bio-macromolecules delivery into plants, especially DNA molecules. Carbon Nanotubes are one of the most commonly used NPs to deliver bio-macromolecules into plants. The plant pests are considered as serious problems in crop production which affect crop quality and quantity. Carbon-based nanoparticles are divided into two main groups: single-walled carbon nanotube and MWCNTs. In this chapter, different applied NPs-mediated delivery methods have been reviewed and discussed.
