ABSTRACT
Wind energy generation provides green energy both at bulk and distributed level. In various parts of the world, wind energy is the largest source of the energy generation. Therefore, this chapter discusses the existing and future wind energy scenario about the availability and utilization of mainly renewable (wind) and nonrenewable energy resources in India in comparison with other countries. Various grid code requirements for the wind energy generation are also discussed in this chapter.
