ABSTRACT

Nanotechnology developments have revolutionized the health-care system in this age of nanoscience by developing nanostructures that greatly enhance the diagnosis and therapeutic aspects of many chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, infectious diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, blood disorders, and orthopedic issues. Nanotherapeutic technologies of multifunctionalities have tremendous potential to fill the gaps that exist in the existing therapeutic domain. In the field of cancer management, nanomedicines are already a reality. It has improved the permeability and successful targeting of drugs with less to no toxicity. Nanorobotics, in the field of surgery, has ameliorated procedures needed for complex surgeries, from cutting to the healing of scars. In this chapter, we will discuss the importance of nanotechnology in health-care management.
