ABSTRACT

Internet of Things (IoT) is a next-generation revolution for industry, and it brings great benefits in connecting the people, processing the data. IoT supports the exchange of information and networked interaction of appliances, vehicles, and other objects, which made sense and probably at low cost with a smart choice. On the other hand, Cyber Security has become a critical challenge in the IoT-enabled Cyber-Physical System (CPS). These challenges are connected supply chain, more data produced by IoT device to act as big data, the control system of industry, etc. CPS is described as an engineered system which made up of cyber entities and physical things. The IoT and CPS are not isolated technologies, even IoT is the base technology for CPS, and CPS is working as a growing development of IoT. IoT and CPS are merged as a closed-loop system for providing a mechanism about conceptualizing and realizing all aspects of a system. The aspects are monitoring and controlling with the help of a computing algorithm. The IoT and CPS have significant overlap, and both are working differently in the engineering aspect. Engineering CPS is a challenging task because the boundaries are either fixed or not defined, even no relationship defined between the cyber and physical world. IoT enabled CPS has many challenges, such as a large amount of data collected from the physical device that can be difficult to manage and analyze. This chapter is mainly focusing 434on the security and privacy issues raised by IoT enable CPS system. Further, this chapter focus on the application of IoT and CPS with its significant role.
