ABSTRACT
The disease caused by a new coronavirus that developed in Wuhan, a city in Hubei province, in China, at the end of 2019, registered an accelerated worldwide spread with an exponential increase in the number of cases of infections and deaths. The World Health Organization defines disinfectants as: A disinfectant is a chemical agent that destroys or inhibits the growth of pathogenic microorganisms in vegetative or non-sporulated phase. It is not possible to know exactly when humans first discovered lime. However, there is the possibility that ancient civilizations used limestone to protect their stoves, thus producing the first burnt lime in history, due to the heating of the rocks with the produced fire. The air lime is commonly used for the manufacture of paints with lime, its characteristics and qualities represent a direct impact in the final result of the paint to elaborate, therefore it is important to highlight these.
