ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an introduction and reviews major products of the organic chemical industry including phenol, ethyl acetate, plastic, paper, and rubber. Four illustrative examples and four problems are presented that relate to the organics manufacturing sector of the chemical process industry (CPI).
