ABSTRACT

Technology modernization has had a major impact on our lives and welfare during the past few decades. Several aspects of observing our physiological traits are considered. Wearable sensing devices are a growing development area and are projected to develop rapidly soon. Wearable sensing devices are externally employed in devices that are linked to an individual to measure physiological features of interest. Their sizes vary from small to large and are attached to a person and work on a wired or wireless basis. These devices have a bright future with rising technical capabilities and a better understanding of existing research techniques. To emphasize the importance of flexible wearable sensing devices, a number of critical implementations such as temperature, pressure, glucose, and pulse rate surveillance are discussed in this chapter. Wearables with skin-like features are also discussed. They are innovative systems that are currently making their way from research centers to pre-commercial models. These devices are extensively researched and most of them are commercially accessible for uninterrupted health surveillance.
