ABSTRACT
The Shrimp farming has the potential to be a long term sustainable industry for many tropical countries. The rapid growth of this industry has increased the number of epizootics associated with infectious diseases. This chapter aims to test the effect of Natural Blend Herbal Formulation which is commercially named as Pondguard, is a water supplement with anti-pathogenic properties. The water quality parameters of both control and Pondguard applied ponds were in the similar range. It shows that there was no negative impact of Pondguard on the water quality parameters. Water quality parameters were checked once a week after stocking. Shrimp growth parameters sampling were performed by cast net on weekly basis after one month of stocking. The overall result of shrimp production performance measurements concluded that the uses of Pondguard have a positive impact on shrimp growth performance.
