ABSTRACT

In today’s world, the way people live around the world is full of activities that lead to stress due to competition for higher goals, the amount of work, different needs, and planning and performance. Previous research shows that most women cancer survivors deal with a negative emotional state. A recent study has suggested that one in five women cancer survivors are prone to emotional distress, which can lead to poor performance in their treatment or suicide attempts. In dealing with real-life situations where life is full of stress and negative emotions, it may be difficult for a woman cancer patient and her family members to deal with their present situation. In this chapter, we proposed an IoT enabled multimodal system that will have inbuilt sensors. The system will help identify the emotions of women cancer survivors from their body signals, such as facial expression, heart rate variation, and brain (EEG) signals.
