ABSTRACT

Lysophosphatidic acid is a potential biolipid with phosphoglycerate, effective in signal transduction. Lysophosphatidic acid directly participated in cancer progression. Lysophosphatidic is synthesized from lysophosphatidylcholine with the help of autotaxin. LA was used as an OC marker because of its cell proliferation and invasive tumor characteristics. They have also promoted the upregulation process of glycolysis as compared to the non-cancerous ovary. LA1 and LA3 were slowed down the activation and cell survival rate of matrix metalloproteinase enzyme via knockdown cells. LA1 (receptor-induced vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein mediates lamellipodia formation), ERK2, and p38α were also positively taken part, and LA1 also induced the formation of reactive oxygen species in prostate cancer. LA6 was also effectively present in hepatic cancer. LA got from ovarian cancer cell increased fibroblast cells (linked with cancer progression) with STAT3 phosphorylation and cytokine induction. This chapter main emphasized the role of LA in the advancement of cancer.
