ABSTRACT

The most intriguing and complicated object of our world is life itself. Scientists have always had a question in their mind about how tiny molecules of DNA, proteins and enzymes perform the enormous task of regulating the entire physiology of a living organism. Advancement in the understanding of our own biology and the biology of the pathogens that we encounter is essential for technological breakthroughs for the sustenance and progress of our civilization and is one of the most important objective that one can accomplish during their lifetime. We are at the dawn of an efflorescence in medicinal biotechnology; this field provides an excellent basis for the application of modern physical, chemical and computational techniques. Hence, a three-pronged approach of in vivo, in vitro, in silico is the need of the hour. This book will play a pivotal role in the improvement of our understanding of the different facets of medical biotechnology. This book will diversify experiences and knowledge and enable one to learn and absorb new ideas and to use them to further the boundaries of modern research and make human life better. There are, and will be, many serious challenges in the field of medical biotechnology, and this book will help in finding their solutions.
