ABSTRACT
Highway freight volume is a very important index reflecting the demand for highway freight transportation. The current pandemic has had a huge impact on China's transportation. To predict the highway freight volume of Shandong Province in 2020 without epidemic situation, this paper queries relevant freight volume data from the official website of the Ministry of Transport, PRC, and predicts the highway freight volume of Shandong Province in 2020 by using moving average method, exponential smoothing method, and least square method. The results show that the deviation and mean square deviation between the freight volume forecast and the actual value are small and the prediction is more reasonable. These researches will bring application value to transportation development, resource allocation, and logistics management of Shandong Province.
