ABSTRACT
To predict the highway freight volume of Hunan Province, this article first analyzes the relationship between every factor and highway freight volume from the eight factors affecting the highway freight volume, and selects the five key factors with the most significant impact on the highway freight volume by using the grey relational analysis method. Then, a multivariate linear regression model for highway freight volume prediction is established, and Excel is used to solve the model parameters. Finally, a unary linear regression model is established for each factor to get their predicted values in 2021. These values are substituted into the highway freight volume prediction model and the predicted value of highway freight volume in Hunan Province in 2021 is obtained, which plays a certain guiding role in the development of road freight transportation in Hunan Province.
