ABSTRACT
TransCAD is the first geographic information system designed to meet the design needs of transportation professionals. It can be used to store, display, manage, and analyze traffic data. At the same time, it organically combines geographic information systems with traffic demand forecasting models and methods into a single platform. It is the most popular and powerful traffic planning and demand forecasting software in the world. By summarizing the application process of TransCAD in traffic planning and demand forecasting, the whole process of traffic flow is analyzed and summarized and applied to engineering projects, which has a certain reference value for designers.
