ABSTRACT
With the rapid development of society, transportation plays an important role in the national economy. The designed section between Shanghu village and Tumen village of the secondary highway is located in Putian City, Fujian Province, China. According to the predicted traffic volume in 15 years, the grade of the highway is determined as a secondary one. The designed plan is as follows, the proposed highway section is from K0+000 to K3+655.324, with a total length of 3655.324 m. The cross-sectional form of the highway is two-way two-lane, the designed driving speed is 60 km/h, the width of roadbed is 10 m, and the width of the lane is 3.5 m. The width of the hard shoulder on both sides of the road is 2×0.75 m, and the width of earth shoulder is 2 x 0.75 m. In this design, both the AutoCAD and the Hintsoft are used to complete the design and calculation tasks.
