ABSTRACT

This paper considers a shield interval tunnel passing under a building in the sand and pebble layer of Chengdu as the research object. The finite element model of the shield underneath the irregular building was established by FLAC3D. The ground settlement law, the corner deformation of the building, and the stress distribution of the pile foundation in the process of shield underneath the building were analyzed. The results show that the variation of surface settlement curve is ‘W’ type, which is large in the middle and small on both sides. The deformation of surface settlement in the building area is small due to the occlusion of independent foundation and the pre-reinforcement of the stratum. The quadrangular deformation of the building after construction is affected by the height and size of the building, resulting in uneven settlement. The stress of the independent foundation of the building is characterized by the large compressive stress at the bottom of the middle pile foundation and the large tensile stress at the top of the pile foundation on both sides.
