ABSTRACT

Regarding the low capacity of the entrances and exits of domestic underground parking lots, the chaotic traffic organization (complex driving conditions of motor vehicles, electric vehicles, bicycles, and other vehicles), and the mismatch with the traffic demand of modern commercial plazas, this paper takes a city building parking lot as an example. Through direct observation and recording it investigates the parking conditions and facilities of the parking lot, investigates the factors affecting the capacity of the entrance and exit roads of the parking lot and the conditions of the surrounding roads, and makes use of the manual paper counting method to collect the data of entrances and exits of the parking lot and roads of the building. Data such as traffic volume, vehicle speed, non-motorized vehicle, and pedestrian traffic volume, statistics of specific data such as vehicle traffic volume and driving speed of the road, analysis calculation of the entrance road traffic flow density and road capacity are collected. According to the calculation results, the traffic capacity of the parking lot entrance and exit of the building is analyzed and evaluated.
