ABSTRACT

Servitization is an issue that needs to be focused when China's manufacturing industry wants to break through the international vertical division “low-end lock” and realize the upgrade of the equipment manufacturing value chain. In view of the lack of logistics servitization elements in the theoretical research of value chain upgrading, and the basic, strategic, and leading role of logistics in the development of the national economy, it is particularly important to reconsider how to rely on logistics servitization to promote the upgrade of the equipment manufacturing value chain. The article puts forward the theoretical mechanism that logistics servitization promotes economies of scale and external economy through direct effects, and promotes the reconstruction of domestic value chain (NVC) and regional value chain (RVC) through indirect effects, and then realizes the theoretical mechanism of value chain upgrading. On the basis of measuring the logistics servitization and value chain level of the equipment manufacturing industry, the article uses a fixed effect model to empirically test the positive effect of logistics input servitization on the equipment manufacturing industry's export domestic value added, comparative advantage, and value chain status promotion. It is proposed that the domestic value added to exports is the main channel through which the logistics servitization will promote the value chain of the equipment manufacturing industry.
