ABSTRACT
This paper evaluates the suitability of the development of traditional ethnic sports tourism in village space and provides new idea for the development of sports tourism in village with ethnic characteristics. Based on the four levels—development basis, development potential, development conditions, and development benefits—the suitability evaluation system of sports tourism industry development in ethnic villages is constructed. Combining the entropy weight method and extension theory, the development suitability evaluation system of the entropy weight matter-element extension model was constructed, the suitability of the sports tourism development of a village with ethnic characteristics in Yunnan Province was evaluated, and the development suitability of each indicator was evaluated, thus verifying the scientific evidence and reasonable applications of the model.
