ABSTRACT

At present, economic and social development is in an important period of opportunity and strategic transition. The key tasks of the development of the 14th Five-year Plan are optimizing the industrial structure, transforming the economic development mode, comprehensively enhancing the overall strength and comprehensive economic competitiveness of the construction industry, and striving to build a modern economic system. This paper expounds on the current situation of the development of the construction economy, pays attention to the existing deficiencies at the practical level, and analyzes the various factors affecting the development of the construction economy by using principal component analysis. The results show that GDP and the total output value of the construction industry have the greatest impact on the development of the construction economy, followed by fixed-asset investment and the proportion of the added value of the construction industry with the least impact on GDP. Based on this, the development strategy is put forward to play the role of the construction economy in the national economy, stimulate domestic demand and expand employment.
