ABSTRACT
Intercity traffic is the carrier of element flow and exchange of urban agglomeration. Based on the mobile phone signaling datum, this paper analyzed the characteristics of intercity traffic in Fujian Province, such as travel scale, connection strength, network agglomeration and sub-region. The results show that highway traffic is still the main mode of intercity travel in Fujian Province; the traffic volume of intercity highways decreases obviously with distance, but this characteristic of high-speed rail is not obvious. In the intercity travel network, the primacy and multi centrality are high, and two network subgroups of Xiamen-Quanzhou-Zhangzhou and Fuzhou-Putian-Ningde have been initially formed, indicating that the intercity travel network in Fujian Province is relatively balanced, showing a dual-core and multi-center pattern.
