ABSTRACT

Citrus is a major group of fruit crop that belongs to the family Rutaceae. Citrus is grown all over the world and is a highly valued crop. Citrus broadly includes lime, lemon, orange, mandarin, grape fruit, and pummelo groups. Since citrus is grown all over the world, it has a huge diversity in its cultivars and botany. Citrus is an acidic fruit rich in nutrients and is non-climacteric in nature.
